Class Descriptions
All of our classes are held in our beautiful one-of-a-kind yoga studio. Unique to Arkansas, our studio is equipped with a halogenerator and a salt wall made of authentic Himalayan pink salt. We strive to offer an intimate setting where practitioners can receive quality instruction and have a safe space to breathe and be themselves. We provide yoga mats as well as any class props you may need.

Embrace

Suitable for all levels; great choice for those new to yoga. Embrace the body you are in. This class is designed for practitioners who have let the myth of a “yoga body” stand in the way of cultivating a regular yoga practice. This adaptive yoga class is for people of all shapes, sizes, colors, age, and levels of mobility. Yoga props such as bolsters, blocks, and even chairs are used in this class to make postures more accessible. This is a perfect class for those who want to emphasize alignment, flexibility, and strength in a non-competitive, body-positive atmosphere.

Salt + Light

Suitable for all levels. Salt + Light is a practice with a spiritual intention to connect God with body, mind, and spirit. Taught by a certified Holy Yoga instructor, this class will incorporate breath and gentle movement, grounded in scripture. This class facilitates an experience that brings honor and glory to Jesus Christ. Holy Yoga offers an opportunity for all people (believers and non-believers alike) to connect to God through His Word, fellowship, and total wellness.

Beginner Yoga

Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Beginner Yoga. As you mindfully integrate movement and breath, this vinyasa class is aimed at the seasoned beginners and intermediate practitioners who are ready to expand their yoga practice. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and may incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. We recommend taking at least 7-10 Beginner Yoga classes before attending an All Levels class. Additionally, students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

Gentle Yoga

Suitable for all levels; great choice for those new to yoga; A restful, calming class including breathing, standing and seated postures, passive and supported poses. This is a great class for those who prefer a softer, more relaxing, practice. No “vinyasas”, arm balances or extensive core strengthening. This is a great yoga class for beginners and those working with injury or limited mobility,

All Levels Flow

Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Beginner Yoga. Express Flow

Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Beginner Yoga. This 45-minute class is great for the practitioner on the go. In our busy lives, sometimes 45 minutes is all you can (or want) to spare. This practice is designed to get your heart rate up quickly, incorporate mindful breathing to relax your mind, flowing movement to work out the kinks, and deep stretches in all the right places that will give you your yoga “fix” and give you a fresh start to the rest of your day.

Power Vinyasa Flow

Recommended for practitioners with at least 3 months of consistent yoga practice. This class is a strong, fast-paced class designed to build heat and strength. This practice is a total body workout that creates longer, leaner muscles and a body with more mobility to improve circulation. The yoga practice will include a focus on heated postures, core work, and strength building postures for the arms and legs. Power Yoga works to tone muscles as it builds flexibility and stamina. Your flow will focus on weight-bearing standing poses, which build the heat necessary to aid stretching. Perfect for athletes, stronger practitioners and multitaskers, Power Yoga is an accessible way to increase flexibility while also getting a workout. These classes begin to encourage practitioners to explore getting upside-down and incorporate some arm balances and deeper backbends. We recommend that students seeking to take these classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

Prenatal Yoga

Suitable for all stages of pregnancy and levels of yoga. This class prepares women physically, emotionally and spiritually for the transformation of pregnancy and labor.  By utilizing breathing techniques, specific physical postures, physical touch, and comfy props, a woman begins to create a strong, flexible, body and mindset that will help her through this special time. This class will calm you while strengthening the muscles that support your body during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. Prenatal yoga poses support the nervous system, balance hormones, stress levels and bring healthy functioning to one’s pelvic floor. Come meet other moms-to-be and share in this nurturing environment all while enjoying empowering meditations, birth stories, and music to uplift the female spirit.

Eden Signature

Recommended for the seasoned beginner to advanced practitioners. Been to yoga a few times? Do you know the basics and are ready to take it up a notch? Eden Signature is a class designed to capitalize on muscle memory and cater to those practitioners that like routine and monitoring personal progress. Composed of a sequence of postures created by Eden Salt Studio owner, Tori Jones, Eden Signature consists of a family of postures which includes the essential categories of grounding, standing poses, forward bends, backbends, twists and inversions. The class incorporates an “as is” sequence that is fixed yet it is also adaptable to meet practitioners where they are in their practice. Practitioners can expect and look forward to the familiar sequence regardless of the instructor. Additionally, each instructor will bring their unique voice, style, and music to the class.

Fascia Flow

Suitable for all levels. The issues don’t just live in our tissues, they live in our Fascia. This class will involve unique movement patterns designed to free areas of construction in the fascia, and will invite curiosity and exploration to your practice. No “vinyasas”, arm balances, or extensive core strengthening. Expect to explore traditional yoga postures in a non-traditional manner.

Hips Don’t Lie

Suitable for all levels but those new to yoga should start with Beginner Yoga.. Do you have tight hips and seek to increase lower body flexibility? This class is for you! The hips are known to be a storage depot for unwanted stress, anger, pain and frustration. This class seeks to release and soothe the muscular tension commonly found in this area of your body. There are many causes for tight hips such as anxiety, a sedentary lifestyle, and common workouts like running and cycling. This class is designed for anyone who would like to be more open through the hips and hamstrings. We begin to delve into the hips and hamstrings through a dynamic hip-opening vinyasa flow practice, exploring postures that aid in increasing mobility of the pelvis, loosening the hamstrings and opening the hips. We conclude with restorative yoga designed to gently soothe the lower body and promote relaxation. We recommend taking at least 7-10 Beginner Yoga classes before attending this class. Additionally, students seeking to take this classes feel confident, safe, and strong throughout classic sun salutations.

Restorative Yoga

Suitable for all levels. Our bodies have an innate ability to relax given the right circumstances. Restorative yoga uses a series of easy, supported poses held for a long time under the right conditions to promote maximum relaxation. This class invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. Emphasis on complete muscular relaxation and comfort are emphasized to achieve a quiet state of mind and body. Expect to be on the floor most of the time, resting those tired legs, using as many props needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 5-10 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your Vinyasa practice and will open and release areas in need of more stretching. It is also a great complementary practice for runners, cyclists, CrossFitters, and pretty much anyone who lives in the 21st century and could use some time to relax, release, and reset.
